※コプト正教会系の組織は、日本ではカトリック風の訳語を使用している例があります（ex： Bishop を「主教」ではなく「司教」）。
これが正式な決定の元での訳語なのか、英和辞典などで出てきたから（カトリック風だとは知らずに Bishop は全部「司教」だと思って）そう書いているのかわかりませんが、とりあえず今回は併記しておきました。

※もちろんのことですが、東方正教会（など）の訳語として「主教」などが用いられるからといって、（コプト正教会を含む）オリエント正教会にそれを採用せねばならない理由まったくありません。それどころか東方正教会やオリエント正教会のそれぞれの教会の訳語が統一されねばならないわけでもありません。

※また、カトリックの訳語と同じものを使っていけない理由もありません。特にコプト正教会は、首座のPopeを（カトリックと同じく）教皇と訳出するのが普通になっており（日本国外務省もそう訳してます）、ほかの聖職者称号の訳語はあわせるべきでないというのもおかしな気がします。
