　2019年7月4日、キリスト教／ローマ・カトリック教会の首座／ローマ教皇聖座およびバチカン市国の絶対君主／ローマ教皇フランシスコ聖下（His Holiness Pope Francis）は、ロシア連邦大統領ウラジーミル・ウラジーミロヴィチ・プーチン閣下（His Excellency Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin）と会見しました。
　報道されている内容からすると、大ごとになるような話（教皇のモスクワ訪問など）はなかったようです。
　シリア・イラク・エルサレムなどの中東情勢、ウクライナ、ベネズエラ情勢や、ロシアにおけるカトリックの問題などが話し合われたようです。
