　2019年9月4日、キリスト教／ローマ・カトリック教会／フランスの名誉次席枢機卿ロジェ・マリー・エリー・エチェガライ座下（His Eminence Roger Marie Élie Cardinal Etchegaray, Vice-Dean Emeritus of the College of Cardinals）が帰天した模様です。
　1922年9月25日生まれの96歳。

　前日（9月3日）に最高齢の枢機卿であったマニサレス名誉大司教ホセ・デ・ヘスス・ピミエント・ロドリゲス枢機卿座下が100歳で帰天し、その結果最高齢の枢機卿となっていましたが、翌日の帰天ということになりました。
　帰天に伴い、最高齢の枢機卿は92歳のアルベール・ヴァノア枢機卿座下（His Eminence Albert Cardinal Vanhoye, S.J.）になりました。司祭から枢機卿に叙任された司教叙階を受けていない人物です。
　また、枢機卿の人数は 213 人に減少しました。

訃報（2019年9月3日）：キリスト教／マニサレス名誉大司教ホセ・デ・ヘスス・ピミエント・ロドリゲス枢機卿座下が帰天（1919～2019）100歳で最高齢の枢機卿

　コロンビア司教協議会の発表によりますと、2019年9月3日、キリスト教／ローマ・カトリック教会のマニサレス名誉大司教ホセ・デ・ヘスス・ピミエント・ロドリゲス枢機卿座下（His Eminence José de Jesús Cardinal Pimiento Rodriguez, Archbishop Emeritus of Manizales）が帰天しました。
　1919年2月18日生まれ。100歳で最高齢の枢機卿でした。

　帰天に伴い枢機卿の人数は214人に減少、最高齢の枢機卿は96歳の名誉次席枢機卿ロジェ・マリー・エリー・エチェガライ座下（His Eminence Roger Marie Élie Cardinal Etchegaray, Vice-Dean Emeritus of the College of Cardinals）となるようです。
