2019年3月6日、英国の一代貴族（クロスベンチ）ハブグッド男爵ジョン・ハブグッド座下（ジョン・ステフィルトン・ハブグッド ： John Stapylton Habgood, Baron Habgood ： The Right Reverend and Right Honourable The Lord Habgood PC ： ハブグッド卿）が永眠したようです。
1927年6月23日生まれの91歳。
キリスト教／英国国教会の聖職者で、1973年～1983年にダラム主教、1983年～1995年にヨーク大主教を務めています。
1995年に大主教退任とともに一代貴族のハブグッド男爵に叙爵。
2011年に貴族院議員（上院議員）としては退任しています。
