2019年6月18日、アルゼンチン共和国を司牧訪問中のキリスト教／オリエント正教会／シリア正教会の首座／アンティオキア・東方全土総主教“モラン”・“モル”・“イグナティウス”・アフレム2世聖下（His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, the Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church）は、同国のコルドバ州知事ファン・スキアレッティ閣下（Juan Schiaretti）を訪問しました。
アルゼンチン共和国駐箚のシリア・アラブ共和国特命全権大使が同行した模様。

アルゼンチンにおける総主教代理クリソストモス・ヨウハンナ・ガッサリー大主教座下（His Eminence Mor Chrysostomos Youhanna Ghassaly, Archbishop and Patriarchal Vicar in Argentina ： 府主教になっているかもしれません）、
“モル”・クリソストモス・ミカエル・シェムーン座下（His Eminence Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Shemoun, Patriarchal Vicar for the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh）、
らが同行。
会談では、シリア系住民らへの州の支援についてや、中東のキリスト教との情勢について触れられた模様。
また聖下側から、シリアの反政府武装勢力に拉致されたまま行方のわかっていない、
シリア正教会のアレッポ大主教“モル”・グレゴリウス・ヨウハンナ・イブラヒム座下（Mor Gregorius Youhanna Ibrahim, Archbishops of Aleppo）、
東方正教会／アンティオキア総主教庁のアレッポ府主教ブーロス・ヤジジ座下（ポール・ヤジジ大主教 ： Boulos Yaziji【Paul Yazigi】, Metropolitan of Aleppo）、
の無事の救出を祈るように要請が出たようです。
