　2022年10月17日、キリスト教／東方典礼カトリック教会／シリア東方典礼カトリック教会（シリア・カトリック教会）の首座／アンティオキア・東方全土総大司教“モラン”・“モル”・イグナティウス・ヨセフ3世ヨナン座下（His Beatitude Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan, the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Syriac Catholic Church）は、トルコ共和国大統領レジェップ・タイップ・エルドアン閣下（His Excellency Mr Recep Tayyip Erdoğan）を訪問しました。

　総大司教庁の公式サイトによりますと、エルドアン大統領からは、シリア人は他の人々と同じようにトルコを構成しているという旨が語られ、総大司教からはトルコ側の中東の安定への感謝が述べられたようです。
