ローマ教皇庁年鑑（バチカン年鑑）2024で、ローマ教皇の称号の一つに西方総大司教（Patriarch of the West）が復活している模様です。
この称号は、ベネディクト16世の時代の 2006年 に、教皇の称号としては使用されなくなっていました。
復活した理由については、今のところ公式の説明はありません。
