Change of title from “Patriarchate of Babylon of the Chaldeans” to “Patriarchate of Baghdad of the Chaldeans”
The Holy Father has granted the request presented by His Beatitude, Cardinal Raphaël Louis I Sako, on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the Chaldean Church, approving the change of the title “Patriarchate of Babylon of the Chaldeans” to “Patriarchate of Baghdad of the Chaldeans”.
カルデア・バビロン総大司教庁（Patriarchate of Babylon of the Chaldeans）から、カルデア・バグダッド総大司教庁（Patriarchate of Baghdad of the Chaldeans）に変更になったようです。
ルイ・ラファエル1世サコ座下も、バグダッド総大司教と称されることになります。
9. Naming the Patriarchate
After discussion and deliberation, the Fathers unanimously agreed to adopt the name “Chaldean Patriarchate” instead of the Patriarchate of Babylon over the Chaldeans, and they enthusiastically expressed their pride in their Chaldean identity.
